FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Owner-operated Mount Pleasant painter moves off Wix onto a 33-page site built for Lowcountry search, with every call and quote request tracked from day one.
CHARLESTON, South Carolina — October 6, 2026 — ByteZero Inc, a digital marketing agency serving Charleston and the Carolinas, today launched a new website for Palmetto Painting Contractors, an owner-operated house painting company based in Mount Pleasant. The site was built by ByteZero with its Carolinas partner SkyBridge Creations, replaces a Wix template and went live this morning.
Key Takeaways
- Palmetto Painting Contractors now runs on a 33-page site built by ByteZero: five service pages, four Lowcountry area pages, seven project pages, four planning guides and four blog posts.
- Every URL from the old Wix sitemap 301-redirects to its new page, so the history the old site earned carries over.
- Each page targets one search: the homepage carries “painters charleston sc”, and every service has its own page and keyword.
- Phone taps, email clicks and quote requests fire as Google Analytics 4 events on every page, and the domain is verified in Search Console with the sitemap submitted on launch day.
- Next: ongoing SEO on the service pages, Google Business Profile work and fuller project case studies.
Why a Charleston painter needed more than a template
Palmetto paints interiors, exteriors, cabinets and decks, and pressure-washes homes, from Downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant out to Daniel Island, Isle of Palms, James Island, West Ashley, North Charleston, Goose Creek and Summerville. The owner walks every estimate himself.
The old Wix site did not say much of that to search engines. Service descriptions ran to a line or two, and project pages sat under URLs like “project-title-2”. A homeowner searching for a painter in Mount Pleasant had little reason to land there, and the business had no clear way to see which pages led to a call.
What ByteZero built
- 33 pages, each with its own job. A homepage, five service pages, four area pages, seven project pages, four planning guides, four blog posts, and about, reviews and contact pages.
- A design rooted in the city. A “Rainbow Row” palette of coral, gold, teal and cobalt on deep Lowcountry green. Generated illustrations are labelled as renders on the page, never passed off as Palmetto jobs.
- A clean migration. Every URL from the old Wix sitemap, including all seven project pages, 301-redirects to their new homes.
- A quote form that reaches the owner. Requests go straight to his inbox. If a send ever fails, the form opens the visitor’s own email app with the request filled in, so nothing is lost.
- Measurement from day one. GA4 events for phone taps, email clicks and quote requests on all 33 pages, a verified Search Console domain property, and a submitted sitemap.
- Machine-readable business data. HousePainter, service, breadcrumb and FAQ markup generated from the same copy the reader sees.

The pages and the searches they target
Before a page was designed, we measured what homeowners in Charleston and Mount Pleasant actually type. Each page now owns one search, so the site never competes with itself.
| Page | Target search | Monthly searches |
|---|---|---|
| Homepage | painters charleston sc | 110 |
| Homepage | house painters near me | 110 |
| Pressure washing | pressure washing charleston sc | 390 |
| Interior painting | interior painters near me | 110 |
| Exterior painting | exterior painters near me | 90 |
| Cabinet painting | cabinet painting charleston sc | 10 |
| Deck staining | deck staining charleston sc | 10 |
| Mount Pleasant area page | painters mount pleasant sc | 10 |
| Blog: haint blue and Charleston green | haint blue / charleston green | 260 / 170 |
Google Keyword Planner estimates for the cities of Charleston and Mount Pleasant, September 2026. Market data, not client results.
Three findings shaped the build. First, the single biggest local term in the trade was “pressure washing charleston sc”, so it earned a full service page while house painting stays the brand. Second, Charleston homeowners plan by room and surface, so the interior painting service for Charleston homes and the page for exterior painting in Charleston and Mount Pleasant each answer the questions an owner asks before a walk-round: prep, access, timing and finish.
Third, the city searches for color. In Charleston and Mount Pleasant, “haint blue” and “Charleston green” together out-draw “painters charleston sc” by almost four to one, so the first blog post answers those homeowners where they already are. Area pages then carry the local detail: the Charleston house painting page covers the peninsula’s older homes, with Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island and Isle of Palms each getting a page of their own rather than a swapped town name.
What comes next
- SEO on the money pages. Ongoing work on the service and area pages, steered by Search Console data as impressions build.
- Google Business Profile. Service-area and profile work for the map pack, where most local painting calls start.
- Project case studies. Fuller write-ups of real Palmetto jobs as the owner supplies scope, original photos and permission to name each location.
The site launched on October 6, 2026, so there are no performance figures to report yet. Tracking is in place from the first visit, and results will be published once there is enough data to mean something.
