FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dallas-based brand will build SEO, websites and Google Ads for Texas law firms, written to the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct and measured in signed clients.
DALLAS, Texas — September 21, 2026 — ByteZero Inc, a data-driven digital marketing agency, today launched Law Firm Marketing Texas, a Texas-only practice for law firms, live at lawfirmmarketingtexas.com. The brand opens with criminal defense and DWI firms in Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio, and covers search, website design and paid media.
Key Takeaways
- Law Firm Marketing Texas is ByteZero’s Texas practice for law firms. California firms continue to be served by California Law Firm SEO.
- The opening focus is criminal defense and DWI, with personal injury, family and immigration next.
- Every page is written to Texas Disciplinary Rules 7.01 to 7.06, and each firm’s homepage is prepared as a filing-ready document for the State Bar’s Advertising Review Committee.
- Texas had 116,127 active licensed attorneys at the end of 2024, up 20 percent in ten years (State Bar of Texas, Attorney Statistical Profile 2024–25).
- Reporting is on signed clients and cost per signed client, not rankings or impressions.
The reason for a separate brand is regulatory rather than cosmetic. Texas requires a lawyer to file an advertisement with the Advertising Review Committee of the State Bar of Texas within ten days of first dissemination. Rule 7.05(b) exempts most of a firm website from that filing, but it does not exempt the contents of the homepage. A homepage built for a California firm is not a document that clears that bar. So the Texas work gets Texas pages, a Texas rules file and a Dallas phone number rather than a rebadged California template.
“We already knew what happens when a law firm’s marketing is run by people who have never read the state’s advertising rules,” said Ron Davies of ByteZero Inc. “You get copy that has to come down later. Texas has a filing deadline and one permitted way to say the word specialist. That belongs in the brief, not in a revision round.”
Why criminal defense first
Criminal defense is where Texas search demand is large enough to build on and cheap enough to reach. Houston criminal defense lawyer draws 2,900 searches a month at top-of-page bids of $9.65 to $40.25, against Houston truck accident terms whose top-of-page bids reach $1,000 a click (Google Keyword Planner, Texas, pulled September 13, 2026). A defense firm can compete for its own city on a budget that would not buy a week of injury clicks.
The market is also not one market. Top-of-page bids for Lubbock criminal defense attorney reach $76.93 on 480 searches a month, nearly double Houston’s ceiling on roughly one sixth the volume, which is what a thin field of competing firms looks like in the data. Pages are built metro by metro, from each metro’s own demand, click prices, attorney density and courts.
What the three services look like
The Texas brand runs the same three disciplines the agency runs everywhere else, with the rules file sitting on top of each: search engine optimization built from practice and city demand rather than from a keyword list, website design with schema on every page and a 95-plus PageSpeed target, and Google Ads management with budgets split by practice and county and Spanish ad groups for San Antonio, El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley.
What the firm reports
ByteZero’s law-firm programs report signed clients rather than traffic. The clearest record the agency holds comes from its longest-running legal account, an employer-defense firm in California, where cost per signed client fell from $626 to $412, a 34 percent reduction, while signed clients rose 82 percent against 2024. That result is Californian and is published as a California case study. No Texas performance claim exists yet, and none will be made until a Texas client produces one.
