Dept grid · what ships with every build

What a web design company in Los Angeles should hand you

Most LA web design quotes stop at "a website". Ours lists the departments. If a line below is missing from another firm's proposal, ask them why.

Stills · same firm, two frames

Before and after, a Los Angeles criminal defense firm

The Law Office of Aaron P. McAllister had fifteen years of courtroom record and a website that showed none of it. Both frames below are the real site, before and after the August 2026 launch.

The previous Law Office of Aaron McAllister website: a navy italic wordmark, one quote and no practice pages
ABeforeapmlawoffices.com, previous site · text wordmark, no logomark, no practice architectureReplaced
The new Law Office of Aaron P. McAllister homepage: gold lion crest, credentials and a case review call to action

Attorneys page on apmlawoffices.com with named attorney and staff bios
B3/attorneys/named bios, admission status stated

Criminal defense is chosen under stress, usually at night, on a phone, often by a family member. The old site gave that person a wordmark and a quote. The new one gives them a page for their charge, a plain-English guide to their question, the attorney's record, and a case review they can reach from every screen. Non-attorney staff carry the California advertising disclaimer on their bios; no outcome is promised anywhere.

Schedule · a typical build

How a build runs

Week counts are typical, not a promise. A single-location business with a dozen pages runs about four weeks; a multi-practice law firm runs longer and we say so in the quote.

Budget · what sets the quote

Affordable web design in Los Angeles is a scope question

We do not publish a price list because two twelve-page sites can be a week apart in work. These seven lines are what move the number. Tell us where you sit on each and the quote is fixed.

  1. 01Pages

How many services, locations and questions need their own page. Each page is written, not cloned.

  2. 02CMS

Server-rendered React (TanStack) for speed and SEO, or a WordPress custom theme when your staff edits in WordPress. CMS web design in Los Angeles usually means the second; we build both.

  3. 03Content

Whether we write the pages from your interviews or edit copy you already have.

  4. 04Integrations

Booking, payments, CRM, intake software, live chat, phone tracking.

  5. 05Brand

Whether a logo and palette exist, or the identity has to be built first, as it was for SC 01.

  6. 06Photo and video

Real photography of your business, or a library we curate and label honestly. We do not label stock as your work.

  7. 07Timeline

A launch date tied to a lease, a season or a campaign compresses the schedule and the quote says so.

One call, then a custom scope, timeline and fixed quote. Small business web design in Los Angeles should not come with hourly surprises.

Notes · questions we get on the first call

Questions

Q1How much does web design cost in Los Angeles?

It depends on scope: page count, CMS, whether we write the content, integrations, brand work, photography and timeline. We do not publish a price list because two twelve-page sites can be a week apart in work. After one call you get a custom scope, timeline and a fixed quote, with no hourly surprises.

Q2Do you build websites for small businesses in Los Angeles?

Yes. Most of our builds are for owner-run businesses: a criminal defense law office, tour operators, contractors, a handyman company. We design from our Van Nuys office and meet in person across Los Angeles when it helps. See our website development service for the full scope.

Q3Which CMS do you use for web design in Los Angeles?

Two. For most builds we use server-rendered React (TanStack), because every title, description and schema block reaches Google and AI crawlers in the first response and pages load fast on a phone. When your staff needs to edit in WordPress, we build a custom WordPress theme rather than a page-builder template, as we did for the Law Office of Aaron P. McAllister.

Q4Do you design law firm websites in Los Angeles?

Yes. Law firm web design is a specialty: bar-compliant copy, a page per practice area, plain-English client guides, Attorney and LegalService schema, and intake that works at 11pm on a phone. See law firm website design in Los Angeles.

Q5How fast will my website load?

We hold every build to a mobile Lighthouse score of 90 or better. Our own site scores 92 on the home page and 94 on the law firm page (Lighthouse mobile, 2026-09-08), with server-rendered pages, right-sized images and no render-blocking fonts.

Q6Do I own my website when it is done?

Yes. The code, the domain, the hosting account, Google Analytics and Search Console are all in your name. There is no proprietary builder and no hostage hosting; you can leave with everything.

Q7Where is ByteZero located?

Our Los Angeles office is in Van Nuys, in the San Fernando Valley, and we have a second office in Huntersville, North Carolina. We work with clients across Los Angeles County and Orange County, and across the Carolinas.
