Understanding ByteZero’s Cookie Policy and Usage
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. “Local storage” and “session storage” do a similar job using a different browser feature — we've listed those together with cookies below, because from a privacy point of view they behave the same way. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; the rest last until they expire or you delete them.
Cookies we set ourselves
These are first-party only — they're readable by bytezeroinc.com and by nobody else. The IDs are random strings. They contain no name, email address or any other personal detail. If you send us an enquiry, the ID is submitted with the form so we can see which pages and campaigns led to it.

Cookies set by Google
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement. Those services set their own cookies, which we don't control directly. They load only after you interact with the page, and if you opt out we tell Google to switch off advertising and analytics storage using its consent-mode signals.

Other scripts on this site
We run SearchAtlas OTTO, a search-optimisation service that adjusts on-page SEO elements. It loads after the page is ready and may set its own storage under the searchatlas.com domain. It is not used to build advertising audiences.
Your choices
- Cookie settings. Use the “Your Privacy Choices” button above, or the link in the footer of every page. Turning off analytics and advertising deletes the first-party cookies listed above, clears the Google cookies where your browser allows it, and stops new ones being set.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal we treat it as an opt-out automatically — you don't need to do anything else, and we won't show you a cookie banner.
- Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
- Google Analytics opt-out. Google publishes a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
If you're in California
Using cookies to measure advertising can count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out with the “Your Privacy Choices” control, and we honour Global Privacy Control as a valid opt-out signal. We don't sell personal information for money.
Changes to this policy
When we add or remove a cookie we update this page in the same change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current list.
