Law Office of Aaron P. McAllister: a brand and a website, built from zero

Fifteen years of Los Angeles courtroom record, and an online presence that showed none of it — no logo, no practice architecture, no way for a worried client at 11pm to work out whether this was the right lawyer. ByteZero built the identity, then the site around it.

These figures describe the scope delivered at launch. The site went live in August 2026 and has no ranking, traffic or lead history yet — nothing on this page is a performance result, and none of it is a prediction of outcome in any legal matter.

Before & After

A wordmark, and then an identity

The previous site led with a line of italic serif type. There was no mark to recognise, nothing to carry onto a business card, a court filing or a Google listing.

BeforeText, and a lot of space

A navy italic wordmark, one pull quote and no route into the practice areas. No logomark existed for the firm at all.

A lion crest and antique-gold system built for the firm, over the credentials that matter and a case review reachable from every screen.

The Brief

Fifteen years of record, invisible online

The Challenge

Nothing to recognise, nowhere to land

Criminal defense is chosen under stress, usually at night, usually on a phone, often by a family member rather than the client. The old site gave that person a wordmark and a quote — no practice pages to match their charge against, no sense of who would actually handle the file, and no visible way to start a conversation without picking up the phone first.

The Approach

Build the identity, then the architecture

We designed the mark first — a lion crest and an antique-gold system with the weight the practice already had — then built the site as a map of the practice: a page per charge type, a plain-English guide per question people actually ask, named bios for every person who touches a file, and a free case review that never depends on office hours.

What We Built

The practice, mapped onto a website

Every page exists because a client asks that question before they call.

Brand identity

Lion crest, seal ring, horizontal lockup and an antique-gold palette — delivered as a system, in the firm's own files.

Seven practice areas

DUI, domestic violence, felonies and weapons, drug crimes, theft and fraud, sex offenses, juvenile — each written to its own statutes rather than one page of generic copy.

Seven client guides

The ten-day DMV rule, what counts as a strike, whether DV charges can be dropped, PC 1000 diversion — the questions people search at 2am, answered before they call.

Named attorney and staff bios

Every person who touches a file, on the page, with their role and admission status stated plainly.

Free case-review intake

A single, consistent call to action across the site, with click-to-call and text on every mobile screen.

Search and AI foundation

Attorney and LegalService schema, semantic structure and answer-first guide content, so both Google and AI assistants have something specific to cite.

Built to the California advertising rules

Non-attorney staff carry an explicit disclaimer on their bios stating they are not licensed California attorneys and do not give legal advice. Credentials are stated as awarded and dated. No outcome is guaranteed anywhere on the site, and no prior result is presented as a prediction — the requirements of the California Rules of Professional Conduct 7.1–7.5, built in at design time rather than bolted on at review.
